What happens if my sponsored child stops attending the Literacy Program?
A new sponsored child will be assigned to you at the same establishment, or if necessary, from a different establishment. Sponsors will be notified in case of reassignment.
Can I meet my sponsored child?
To protect the safety and privacy of minors, sponsors do not have direct contact with the children. For the same reason, the real names of the children are not disclosed, but an alias is used for internal identification within the NGO.
Are there children who receive more than others?
At Expedición Sonrisa, we believe that all children have the same rights and should benefit equally, attending to collective and individual needs. Therefore, the money is used to cover the collective needs of all the children who attend the same establishment. This way, we can ensure that all children receive the same tools, without allowing some to lack opportunities within the establishment.
